HOUSES

Cavanagh (RED)

Named after Mr Stephen Cavanagh who bequeathed approximately £750 to be invested for deserving pupils

Keeley (YELLOW)

Named in memory of Mr Jim Keeley who was killed in World War II. The Keeley family, who has had a long association with St Patrick’s, also donated Keeley Park to the school in memory of Jim Keeley and his friend, Alan Spiers.

Michaelis (BLUE)

Named after Sir Max Michaelis who played a foremost part in the establishment of the diamond trade. He founded scholarships not only at Christian Brothers’ College, but also at various other establishments.

Spiers (GREEN)

Named in memory of past pupil, Mr Alan Spiers, who died in World War II. A bursary was also named after him.
