International Science Day
On Thursday, 11 February 2021, we celebrated International Day of Girls in Science. Thank you to our Science Departments for making this possible by facilitating a number of exciting and educational activities and experiments. Click the icon on the left to share in the excitement we experienced this week across the campus, from the ECD Centre through to the High School! As a school, we are blessed to be able to provide an environment in which each pupil, irrespective of gender, age, race, religion, culture or background, is able to develop into the best version of themselves.
Love is truly in the air! Our campus was a beautiful display of love this morning as we celebrated Valentine’s Day a little early. It was heart-warming to hear the laughter and chatter across the campus. Be sure to click on the hearts on the right to see just how stunning and filled-with-love our beautiful school looked today.

Delivery of the navy-blue branded CBC sports shirts is expected in the week of 01 March 2021. Our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience this has caused. Pupils who do not have a navy sports shirt, can wear their House shirt on sports uniform days. In preparation for the winter months, orders for the quilted tracksuit jackets can now be placed with our Finance Office at a cost of R450 per jacket. Orders must be placed by Monday, 01 March 2021. The uniform shop does not carry stock of these jackets and these orders work on a ‘payment upfront’ basis. Unfortunately, no jackets will be released before full payment has been received. There is a 7-week lead/production time for these jackets.

As of Monday, 15 February 2021, the High School will only offer a face-to-face learning option. Only
pupils who have indicated that they have comorbidities will be catered for. Please note that we will continue to use Edmodo as a learning and communication tool. We encourage parents to continuously check Edmodo for communication purposes. Details of lessons, as well as resources, will continue to be uploaded on Edmodo, by the end of each day. This will also enable pupils to revise at home for upcoming assessments. This term’s charity drive focuses on toiletries, non-perishable food items and nappies (1 point per nappy – all sizes needed, even adult nappies). Pupils are to take items to their English teachers. Items must be clearly marked with their house & grade (i.e. the letter of the house in marker pen: e.g. C – gr 8). The points for this term will be added to the points from Term 4 2019 and Term 1 2020 (on the right) for the 2021 Charity Cup.
Each year, Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent. In 2021, Ash Wednesday falls on February 17. Often called the Day of Ashes, Ash Wednesday starts Lent by focusing the heart on repentance and prayer, usually through personal and communal confession. In line with all COVID-19 protocols, this year’s Ash Wednesday will be celebrated as an online Mass, which will begin at 08h00 on Wednesday, 17 February 2021. Should you wish to join us in celebrating the start of Lent, click the image on the left to register for the online Mass. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. We will once again host our weekly Online Prayer Evenings as from Thursday, 18 February 2021. These evenings of thanksgiving, reflection, strength and praise will take place via Zoom each Thursday at 19h00. You are welcome to click the dove on the right to join the meeting each week. All staff, parents and guardians are welcome to join us. A family that prays together, stays together. Should you have any prayer requests you would like included at the Prayer Evenings or in the WIS, please email these to email@example.com
