M.A.D.D. Fest 2018
The arts have always formed an integral part of life at St Patrick’s CBC. Committing to the arts, in whichever capacity, requires patience, commitment, perseverance, self-motivation, and loads of self-discipline. It is vital that young, talented individuals are offered the opportunity to showcase the fruits of their hard work.
We extend an invitation to all performing and visual arts learners from around the Northern Cape, to participate in our M.A.D.D. Fest (music.art.dance.drama), which features the Performing and Visual arts. The Festival will be taking place in August this year.
- When? 10-24 August 2018
- Where? McManus Hall, St. Patrick’s CBC, Kimberley
- Who? Any student(s) from any arts discipline, whether connected to a school, private studio or as an individual
There will be multiple opportunities for solos, ensembles and larger groups to take part, with this festival being open to any candidate of school-going age, as well as adult amateur performers.
Well qualified adjudicators, mostly drawn from tertiary institutions from outside of the province, have been approached to judge and give commentary on each item entered into the festival. Every entrant will be awarded a certificate of participation on which their level of achievement will be indicated, i.e. Diamond, Gold, Silver, Bronze, etc.
The festival will conclude with a gala evening, where the winners and top achievers will be invited to perform.
