We know that deciding to send your children to a boarding house is a big decision for any family. ‘How will they settle in? Will they miss home and how will they fill their time?’ are questions which all families ask. 

We have been welcoming children into our boarding house for more than 120 years and are happy that our extensive experience of helping children to adapt to their new and exciting lives means that they quickly find their feet, relax and really begin to enjoy their time at school. 

We love to see prospective parents visiting Oppenheimer House. We can even arrange for your child to have a trial boarding ‘taster’ night or weekend so that you and your child can see how well he/she would settle into our supportive, family atmosphere. 

Boarders and staff are encouraged to live cooperatively with others and to see their own needs within the context of the needs of the community, which is the perfect introduction to life after school.
